Providence Vineyard is an Elder led church. The pastor and board of elders are responsible for the Spiritual leadership of the church. The pastor and the board of deacons are responsible for the physical and tangible needs of the congregation and church building.
Frank & Alita Batham
Lead Pastor
Frank and Alita started attending Providence in 2012. Frank was ordained an Elder at Providence in 2015. He became the associate pastor at Providence in 2017 and has been the lead pastor of Providence since June of 2018. The Bathams have 3 children, Eva, Amos & Clara. Frank earned his Bachelors of Science in History & Political Science from LeTourneau University in East Texas in 2010. Alita earned her Bachelors of Arts in Social Science and Bible from Puget Sound Christian College in 2005. Frank and Alita are passionate about seeing people live fully for Christ, embracing the Kingdom of God and seeing people's lives changed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Elijah Brown
Worship Coordinator & Leader
Raised at Providence, Elijah has been a member of the Providence worship team since he was a teenager, starting out as a drummer. He became a worship leader in 2017 and worship coordinator in 2018. Elijah is an extremely talented musician who can play multiple instruments and is always striving to learn new things. When Elijah isn't making music, he is slinging a paint brush in his "day job," where he works as a professional painter. Elijah's love for Jesus combined with his musical talent makes him a valuable worship leader and a huge asset to our leadership team at Providence!
Lester & Joy Yoder
Elder
In 1995, Lester, along with his wife Joy, became the second pastor of Providence Vineyard Christian Fellowship. Previously a hospital pharmacist before saying yes to full-time pastoral ministry, Les has been a lifelong student of the Bible and Christianity. Because of health challenges in 2016, Les decided to step down from full time ministry and started discipling Frank into the Lead Pastor role. Les continues to faithfully serve the congregation as a pastoral & teaching elder. Joy is a faithful nursery and Sunday school teacher.
Wayne & Peggy Lewis
Elder
The Lewis family have attended Providence Vineyard since 2009. Wayne & Peggy have served in many roles over the years and are actively involved in hosting and leading small groups. Wayne has an encouraging prophetic gifting. His call to be ordained an Elder at Providence was confirmed in May of 2021. Wayne encourages the congregation to use their gifts and seek after the Lord. Peggy uses her gifts in the area of helping teach Sunday School and Women's Ministry team.
